Dover Cruise Port welcomes Dawn Princess

Steve Atmore, Head of Cruise Operations at Dover Cruise Port welcomes the Master of the Dawn Princess, Captain Todd McBain from Vancouver on the ship’s inaugural call to the Port of Dover. The ceremony took place on 17 July after the Dawn Princess arrived at Dover having completed its 2011 World Cruise which had visited exciting destinations including the Far East, Dubai, Egypt and Morocco.

The luxury Dawn Princess can welcome up to 1,970 guests. The vessel is a paradise at sea, offering passengers a wide variety of facilities including two show lounges, restaurants and cafés, a spa and an exquisite multi—million dollar art collection. The covered promenade deck allows the passengers to view Dover Castle and the iconic white cliffs in all weathers.

This year we have already welcomed the Ocean Princess twice in June and this month it is using Dover Cruise Port as its embarkation point for the 18 day “Top of the World Explorer” tour calling into Norway, Iceland, Greenland en route to New York.
